Juchitán
Juchitán, México is a place where everything we
expect in life has been turned up side down with profound gender
reversals. The women have power in extraordinary ways, creating
an epicenter of resistance. Juchitán is a story told by
two women, Rafael and Big Mama, who show us what is
unique about their town. They are fighting to preserve indigenous
autonomy, gay justice, and the economic integrity of the region.
Juchitán is currently in production. You can read the on-going
production journal here.
